Your Job

Within Veldsink Groep, we are looking for a UX Designer in the Development department to take our digital processes to the next level. A leader who moves forward independently, but also seeks connection with colleagues in business, IT, and program management. As a UX Designer, you are the specialist in the field of user-friendliness and interaction. You design clear, accessible, and consistent digital experiences for customers, advisors, and colleagues.

You translate strategy, laws and regulations, and business needs into logical user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs. You focus on standardization where possible and customization where necessary: always with an eye for quality and scalability within our platform (OutSystems) and design system (Figma).

You will be working in an environment where UX is not yet internally established. This means plenty of room to showcase your expertise and help shape the role. You are the only UX Designer in the team and therefore also the substantive sparring partner for various stakeholders.

What will you be doing specifically?
Designing user flows, wireframes, and (high fidelity) screens.
Defining and applying reusable interaction patterns and components.
Conducting user research and user tests and translating them into concrete improvements.
Ensuring accessibility (including WCAG) and consistent application of the design system.
Actively contributing to standardization and continuous improvement of digital processes.
Collaborating intensively with Product Owners, business, program management, and international colleagues (English is important).
Participating in daily stand-ups, milestone meetings, and interactive work sessions within the VCN Inzicht program.

What makes you that unique colleague?
At least HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, preferably in (Interaction) Design, HCI or similar;
Demonstrable experience of at least 3 years with interaction design and user experience;
Experience with Figma, Jira and/or OutSystems is a plus;
A portfolio that shows what you are proud of;
You have strong analytical skills, creativity, independence and assertiveness: you don’t wait, but actively look for the next step;

The team

You will be part of the Development department, which consists of approximately 20 colleagues and consists of various squads. All squads are self-managing teams, where we like to add multiple colleagues. As a team, we are very driven and there is plenty of room for personal input and creativity. You will also get a warm welcome: our current interim UX Designer will ensure a careful transfer and will remain available for important questions after you start.
