ModMed, a healthcare technology company focused on modernizing the healthcare experience through innovative software solutions, is seeking a Software Training Consultant – ENT to train clients on their medical software, improve training materials, and contribute to the overall success of client practices. This is a remote position open to candidates in the USA.
Responsibilities include training clients on medical software and the use of features and functions of the service using classroom, remote, on-the-job, and blended training techniques. The consultant will establish rapport and gain and maintain credibility with diverse audiences. Reporting software improvements and enhancements to software engineers is also a key responsibility. Helping clients adopt best practices in using the solution to manage their practice is crucial.
The consultant will manage time effectively with minimal supervision to accurately scope projects and ensure that practices are trained on time. They will manage the client training schedule and the workflow of the practice and coordinate with project managers and administrators to properly execute the training for all staff. Collaboration with the Training, Support, and Product departments to address training materials, programs, and client launch practices is required. Recording details of client feedback through the training process and contributing to the creation of training resource material are also essential duties. Maintaining certification of 80% or higher on all application material and quizzes is expected.
Skills required include the ability to travel 75-90% including weekends, and provide some off-hours training and support, including occasional weekends. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in software training, implementation, and/or relevant medical practice experience (ENT preferred). Demonstrating good problem-solving skills and effective decision-making abilities are essential. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be an empathetic communicator with a consultative approach, able to see things from another person’s point of view.
The consultant should have the ability to work independently as well as part of the training team. A positive and personable attitude with a customer service focus is needed, along with a professional, patient, and balanced approach to handling difficult customer situations. The ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with customers and teammates is necessary. Taking initiative in goal fulfillment and deadlines, and excellent time management and organizational skills are required. Basic knowledge of Apple products including Mac, iPad, and iPhone is preferred, as well as the ability to easily learn new software and be detail-oriented.
