External Sales Advisor

As a professional wholesaler, we have an extensive range of electrotechnical products with more than 55,000 items in stock.

Our main activity is to serve the customer as well as possible logistically with our advanced webshop, a Netstore application and numerous customized delivery options (express delivery, Click&Collect, delivery on site, etc.)

We try to relieve the customer as much as possible and support them in their daily activities, resulting in more time and higher productivity. Thanks to the technical expertise we have in-house, we guide our customers from A to Z, from advising on certain products and energy-efficient solutions, the elaboration of the project study, the ordering and delivery of the material, and in some cases, assistance with commissioning.

Job Description

As an External Sales Advisor, you are the indispensable link between Rexel and its customers. You maintain personal customer relationships and further develop your assigned portfolio through proper needs analysis and prospecting.

You detect commercial opportunities, analyze and identify customer needs, and propose innovative products, solutions, and our own services.

You follow up on quotations and ongoing projects from A to Z and provide sales support to the commercial back office.

You possess sufficient commercial drive and proactively engage in cross-selling. In addition, you inform the customer about current commercial promotions and incentives.

You update the CRM and improve sales processes and performance where possible.

Together with your team, you are responsible for achieving targets in terms of turnover, gross margin and annual growth.

You have a good knowledge of the product range and are willing to constantly enrich your knowledge by following product training at our partner suppliers or via our internal platforms Rexel Skill Up and intranet.

You will actively promote, support and attend customer events and training courses.

You work closely with the internal sales team and specialists and report to the branch manager.

Technically trained (electricity)
Experience in the sector
Commercially minded
Customer and service orientation
Proactivity and dynamism
Eagerness to learn
Social/communication skills
Perfect Dutch language skills (French is a plus)
