Job location: Fredericia, Denmark
Would you like to take responsibility for some of Bankdata’s most business-critical and technically complex programs? As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will play a central role in driving major transformations where regulatory requirements, bank conversions, and complex integrations meet. You create structure, direction, and momentum – and ensure that technical deliverables are translated into real business value.
About the role – when complexity requires clear leadership
As a Technical Program Manager, you will have overall responsibility for planning and executing complex technical programs across Bankdata. You ensure coherence between strategy, technology, and business and act as a link between development teams, infrastructure, and external vendors.
You will have overall responsibility for leading a central and business-critical transformation program consisting of three interconnected projects. The first project involves implementing a standard system for trading securities, including managing integrations to several of Bankdata’s existing systems.
The subsequent projects will focus on establishing and optimizing information exchange with external vendors as well as further developing and streamlining associated systems and business processes.
You will be part of the Technical Program Management area, which currently consists of a small, specialized team focused on technical program management. We work closely with both internal development teams and external partners across Bankdata.
The work takes place in an agile setup with a high degree of independence, close sparring between TPMs, and the possibility of flexible work arrangements (WFH).
Responsibilities – your contribution to effective execution
As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Planning and managing complex technical programs with clear milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Coordinating cross-functional technical activities between development, infrastructure, architecture, business, and external vendors.
• Ensuring progress and transparency through continuous monitoring of risks, finances, resources, and deliverables.
• Facilitating collaboration and decisions through meetings, workshops, and technical clarifications.
• Anchoring solutions and benefits through effective stakeholder management and change management.
In the first 6–12 months, you will:
• Create an overview, establish relationships, and set a solid program foundation.
• Get the programs under control and ensure visible progress.
• Establish high cadence, clear prioritization, and clear direction.
• Ensure deliverables, organizational implementation, and value realization.
Who are you?
We imagine that you:
• Have a minimum of 8 years of experience with technical program or project management in complex IT environments.
• Have a technical background, for example, as a software developer, IT specialist, architect, or similar.
• Have experience with agile principles and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project (or equivalent).
• Thrive in a role with many stakeholders and communicate clearly and structured.
• Work purposefully with a clear bias-to-action and ability to create momentum in complex contexts.
Experience from the financial sector – especially in integrations or infrastructure – is a clear advantage, but not a requirement.
What do we offer?
• The opportunity to build and develop a new TPM area in Bankdata.
• Responsibility for large, business-critical transformation programs.
• A professional academic environment focused on collaboration, sparring, and quality.
• Flexible working conditions and the opportunity to work from multiple locations.
